This is an area of outstanding beauty with endless rolling plains and riverine woodlands which are home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, large herds of antelope and many other animals.

The stunning Mara River, filled with hippos and crocodiles, cuts through this region of the Serengeti and hosts one of the greatest spectacles nature has to offer: the dramatic wildebeest crossings of the Mara River in the months August to November.

Sayari Camp’s 15 luxury tents are split into 2 wings- one with 9 and one with 6 tents all of which are raised on wooden platforms to offer a spacious and extremely comfortable stay. Both wings have their own entertainment and hosting tent making it possible to book each wing exclusively for groups or families.

All of these unique tents offer panoramic views through glass sliding doors and windows or you can relax on the private wooden deck where a large sofa/day bed and table and chairs are set up.

The tents are very spacious and are equipped with contemporary, comfortable furniture.  The en suite bathroom has a flush toilet, indoor shower, double stone hand basins, as well as a free standing bath.

The camps’ central area consists of a large, comfortable lounge with an ‘all day’ bar service, rock swimming pool and fire place as well as two ‘chill out’ areas under canvas slightly away for the main lounge to give a quiet area to read a book or bird watch.

Worth a special mention is the uniquely designed Honeymoon Suite which boasts not only one rock bath but two – one indoor and one outdoor, positioned in a secluded corner close to the raised wooden deck. A private butler looks after guests and will set up private meals under the stars or offer any services as required.

We visited this camp just as it re-opened and it is top quality. The location is stunning and the camp is so comfortable and relaxing that a longer than normal stay of 4 or 5 nights is a definite option.
