This is a simple set up with a central mess tent alongside a camp fire with deck chairs.
The concept is to offer a "step up" from budget camping by providing the basics with a little more comfort and space.
The food follows a simple and acceptable formula with a standard evening meal of soup, main dish with veg and cake desert. It's been the same every time we have stayed at the camp over the years.
The 12 traditional safari tents offer double or twin beds, small ensuite bathrooms with "bladder shower" (on request) and chemical toilet. A jug and bowl are provided for washing. At the front of the tent is a small area with seating which is the best place to sit and relax during the day as the tents are a bit dark inside.
The staff at the camp are really friendly and helpful but you get the impression that they are working under tight management controls particularly with budget.
