Nestled on the east coast overlooking the picturesque Chwaka Bay, Ngalawa Beach Village offers 18 suites with ocean views

All suites are ocean view and very tastefully decorated with an eye for local and cultural theme.

All suites have bathrooms ensuite, full size bed with mosquito net, air conditioning, fan, desk, mini bar fridge, safety deposit box and tea or coffee making facilities.

The resort has a strategically located swimming pool, with a wrap around pool deck and private sunbathing area overlooking the Indian Ocean. The landscaping is professionally designed and the resort is well lit in the evenings.  For those who love a good read, there is a reading garden with natural shade and melodious sounds of various species of birds all around you during the day.

The dining room offers a friendly, casual atmosphere, good service and a fully equipped bar.  The hotel offers a set menu including a 3 course lunch, afternoon tea at the jetty and a 4 course dinner. 

The jetty, right on the beach, provides a full service bar and a relaxing atmosphere to chill out watching the sea or meet with new friends.  The tide times obviously vary and it does ebb but when it comes in it comes in all the way under the  jetty. It is very beautiful.

There is an onsite tour and excursion desk plus souvenir and essentials boutique.  The hotel likes to organize a walk into the local village for guests to experience the village culture. They have a designated home guests can visit and even have some local food prepared for them from their kitchen.

Ngalawa Beach Village is a good mid range option for those looking for resort facilities but maintaining the charm of a smaller hotel and the option to really immerse yourself into Zanzibari life.
