Kichanga is in a privileged quiet position on the island and faces a stunningly beautiful sea on a wonderful, white, tropical beach.

The guesthouse has 22 charming rooms with traditional makuti roofs and wooden verandas and adorned with Zanzibari arts and crafts.  The rooms also include an ensuite bathroom, mosquito nets, fans, a hair-dryer and mini-bar.

The club-house accomodates the bar and restaurant which serves local dishes, especially fish, as well as international and Italian cuisine. There is also a swimming pool overlooking the beach and ocean.

On the beach a charming wooden hut hosts the massage centre. Mountain bikes are available to ride for miles along the beach of Zanzibar. Canoes, skateboard kites and beach-volley are also available on the beach. There is a PADI dive centre on site which provides diving courses for all levels and daily trips out to the reefs.

Kichanga Foundation was created in 2005 by the owners Nigel Firman and Andrea Brunetti, to work on local empowerment sustainable projects.  The projects mainly focus on childhood and local communities and include the development of the Michanvi Kae and Michanvi Pingue village school.
