Surrounded by scrub-covered plains on white calcrete soils and against the backdrop of low mountains, Andersson's Camp is situated close to Etosha National Park.

A former farmstead, the camp has been tastefully rebuilt with it's main area fronting onto a waterhole.  From the waterhole, twenty tented guest units are spread outwards and are, in the main, secluded in the mopane woodland which is typical of the area.

The tents are a clever mix of calcrete stone cladding, canvas and wood each elevated on wooden decks. These unusual, organic-style tents have double-door entrances and a small veranda for uninterrupted views. The en suite bathrooms feature a uniquely designed open-air private shower.

The camp is a model of eco-sensitive lodging with energy-saving initiatives including solar-heated water for showers, while throughout the camp most of the natural vegetation has been retained.

Andersson's Camp's close proximity to Etosha is ideal for full-day self-drives or guided drives into the park.  Etosha National Park is Namibia's main wildlife destination where large herds of game congregate around the waterholes in the dry season.  During the summer months, sporadic rainfall produces a profusion of new life including playful baby springbok and comical young wildebeest which herald the onset of summer.
