Twyfelfontein

Twyfelfontein is an excellent self-drive area to explore within southern Damaraland.

There are numerous attractions for visitors including the chance to see a wealth of Bushman rock art, the desert elephant, the Petrfied Forest and the surrounding mountains and rock formations which offer some excellent hiking opportunities.

This is a peaceful and relaxing area of the country where you can also enjoy some genuine cultural interaction with the local communities who are rightly benefitting from the growth in tourism to the region.
