Solar power provides electricity and hot water, and the innovative insulated canvas walls and roof keep the temperatures inside the units comfortable.

Daily guided game drives from the camp unlock some fascinating wildlife with some of the worlds best cheetah viewing and the legendary, Kalahari, Black-Maned Lion. Interaction with the San Bushman offers guests life-changing insights into the unique culture of this fascinating people.

Thanks to the diversity of habitats, healthy game populations move through the area and are present to a greater or lesser degree all year round, but with the advent of the summer rains (end of November to April) the desert truly comes to life. Short grasses sprout in the pan systems and fossil riverbeds. Plains game such as springbok, gemsbok and wildebeest converge in their hundreds and thousands to feed. This attracts predators which provides some thrilling hunting action.
