Situated on the grassy banks of the Zambezi River, Chunduka Lodge has an excellent locaton with beautiful views of the Zambezi River, Chundu Island opposite and the Zambezi National park across the River.

The lodge has just five rooms and is built in a local style and blends perfectly with its quiet surroundings. This is a game-rich area and sightings of hippo and elephant around are common whilst there is also an abundance of plant and birdlife to be found surrounding the lodge.

Each of the thatched chalets has been built on stilts with uninterrupted river views. The rooms are very comfortable with double / twin beds with walk-in mosquito nets and a lovely use of local fabrics to give added design and colour. Each room has an ensuite bathroom with shower, sink and loo.

There is a lounge and dining area which has just been rennovated with plenty of space to relax whilst there is also a lovely plunge pool overlooking the river. The lodge takes pride in offering great home-cooked food, incorporating the freshest Zambian produce to give the cuisine a local twist.

There is a full range of activities including game drives, canoeing and horseback safaris. On the river guests can take leisurely crusies down to the falls, enjoy some fishing or exciting white water rafting. More extreme are the options of bungi-jumping, gorge swinging, microlight flights, quad biking.

Chundukwa Lodge offers excellent mid-priced accommodation. Very welcoming and friendly management and staff.
