Kalamu Lagoon Camp is a new camp in a wonderfully remote location overlooking a beautiful permanent lagoon just off the Luangwa River

Accommodation consists of eight safari-style reed and canvas tents, each en-suite with both an indoor and outdoor shower. The rooms are very attractively with furnished with  two twin beds and large walk-in mosquito nets. There is plenty of space with areas to hang clothes, comfortable chairs and ensuite bathroom with an indoor and out door shower.

The camp's dining and bar area under a canopy of giant ebony trees and a pool and viewing deck area located to the side of the camp offering spectacular views of the lagoon.

This is a wonderful walking safari area and guests have the choice to explore the Luangwa riverine vegetation and adjacent dambos on guided walks. Other activities include day-and-night wildlife-viewing drives.

The remote Lumfwa Concession is a wildlife paradise that offers unique bird watching and exciting game viewing. Puku, impala and comman waterbuck are the most conspicuous mammals. Lion, spotted hyaena, leopard and crocodiles head the food chain and a plethora of hippo congregate in the Luangwa River. Elephant, yellow baboon and buffalo are also seen regularly.

This is a very comfortable camp in a lovely remote location. A great place to relax, enjoy the environment and varied game-viewing.
