Situated in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the Laikipia district, between the foothills of the Aberdare and the snow capped summit of Mount Kenya.

This six tented luxurious camp is ideally placed in the 90,000 acres of wilderness to observe the largest Black Rhino sanctuary in East Africa.  It also boasts an abundance of elephant, cheetah, lion, leopard and rare  Grevys Zebra, Jacksons Hartebeest and Beisa Oryx.

The large guest tents are custom designed and are fully insect-proof with en-suite bathrooms equipped with a flushing toilet, shower and hot and cold running water. Game viewing is possible from the comfort of your verandah, overlooking the water, with wildlife activity throughout the day. A family tent, sleeping up to 4 guests, is also available.

There is a spacious well furnished lounge and dining tent with two fireplaces for the cooler evenings. Breakfast and lunch are often taken al-fresco if weather permits.

Kicheche Laikipia Camp offers a wide range of activities including walking safaris, game viewing (day & night) in a 4WD vehicle, lion tracking, canoeing, and visits to the Wildlife Educatonal centre, Chimpanzee sanctuary and Northern White rhino enclosure.

This is a very comfortable small camp offering plenty of activities, sometimes limited elsewhere.  We would highly recommend this when Mara has been dismissed or even combining with the Mara.
