The lodge is a good mid range (4* star) option which has been recently renovated.

The main public area is made up of a bar and large swimming pool area which has plenty of space and sun-loungers.

There is a comfortable inside lounge area where you can relax, and a games room which has a pool table, table football, etc.  The dining area overlooks the beach and sea where meals are buffet style with an obvious emphasis on local seafood.

Accommodation is made up of 40 A-frame thatched bungalows with yellow walls and floor to ceiling glass doors onto a veranda. The simple and pleasant style of the rooms includes a double (or twin) bed with four poster mosquito net plus a bedside and dressing table with a air-con or ceiling fan.

The bright coloured bathrooms offer a circular stone basin and mirror, integrated bath-tub and lots of toiletries, whilst out through the back is a private open-air shower.

The lodge is very focused on activites through it's NAUI dive and watersport centre which offers diving, snokelling, fishing, island hopping trips, water skiing, wake boarding and sunset dhow cruises.

To get there you take a short 15 minute flight from Vilanculos international airport and a 5 minute road transfer.

All in all Bazaruto is a friendly and well managed resort that offers good value within the region.  It's about relaxing and enjoying the activities without the focus on luxury or fussy service.
