How to use this site
Whilst we hope to give you some inspiration, we have designed this website to be a straightforward method and tool to start planning your Africa holiday. We anticipate you will already have a fair idea of where you want to go, so we'd like to show you where to stay without too many cumbersome hurdles or biased opinion.
Click on the country drop down on the top tool bar, decide which region(s) you are interested in and see your accommodation options. Click on lodges on the left hand side for either a cursory glance or more indepth summary and, if you like what you see, add to wishlist.
You can quickly move around regions by clicking on the drop down box above each region's map. Or, to change country, revert to the top tool bar.
It is possible to combine different countries and regions but we recommend you phone us to discuss this so we can make sure you get the right combination with easy connections.
We have compiled a Top 10 list of our favourite places to go and things to do. You might already have your own ideas but, if not, the list might give you some inspiration. Click on the links on the home page to take you to the specific destination or click on the Top 10 icon (or drop down) for more detail of each of the Top 10 destinations and follow the links from there.
If your proposed holiday type is Special Interest led, we have drawn up some tried and tested options for you. Click on the special interest drop down. This list is by no means exhaustive and, if there's something else you're after, we can almost certainly find it. Naturally, you can combine any of the special interests with other holiday options. Again, add to wishlist anything that interests you and we can discuss your options.
Your wishlist will be automatically added to your Contact Us form . You do not have to send us this form but it will be an auto-list of your favourite places and will give us an idea of what particularly attracts you.
Our preferred method for initial contact is by phone so we can quickly glean what might be of interest. We will gladly phone you back, at a time convenient to you, if you prefer. Or we are happy to have quick email correspondence if you find that easier. Have a look at the Contact Us options to find what suits you.
Safari & Beach have developed a Blog to keep you up to date on things happening in Africa. We receive regular bulletins from our grounds people in Africa as well as the lodges with whom we work. News items might include recent spottings, migration news, expedition news, lodge updates or some quirky trivia. Check in regularly or Subscribe to our blog and you too will receive regular updates and bring Africa that bit closer to home.
We regularly receive Special Offers from our partners which we immediately pass on to you. There are some fantastic deals at the moment but these do carry restrictions. Give us a ring and we'll work out the best value trip for you.
You will notice on the top tool bar a Directory option. If you know where you want to go and want a quicker navigation tool use the Safari & Beach directory. Expand individual countries to show regions and expand regions to show lodges and click through.
Alternatively, use the Search Facility on the top left for an even quicker route in.
