Windhoek is Namibia’s capital, spread out in a broad valley with surrounding hills that make up it’s few suburbs.
It is a pleasant enough environment but offers few places of genuine interest for the visitor except hotels, shops, restaurants and bars.
Depending on international flight schedules or specific travel plans we often recommend a night at one of the pleasant hotels or guesthouses in order for clients to relax and acclimatise before moving on to other places.
Good quality small hotel: Heinitzburg Hotel
S&B favourite guesthouse options: Olive Grove & Villa Verdi
